Training

The Oil and Gas Technical Apprentice Programme is split into two stages.  Apprentices spend time both at college and at one of our sponsoring companies, where you will receive expert on-the-job training.

You will attend one of our appointed colleges for 21 months, where the following qualifications will be attained:

  • SVQ Level 2 (Performing Engineering Operation)
  • National Certificate (multi discipline)
  • Higher National Certificate (chosen discipline)
  • Process Operations Hydrocarbons Level 1

Following the college phase, you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice and you will receive on-the-job training with one of our sponsoring UK based oil and gas organisations for 24 months. You will be mentored alongside experienced staff, gaining industry specific skills as well as an SVQ Level 3 in your chosen discipline.

Apprentices can also enjoy even more diversity by developing these skills further and become a multi-skilled technician - working as a valuable part of a bigger team.
